Meet The Owners
Nate & Larissa Reynolds
Nate and Larissa Reynolds are the owners and founders of Oasis of Hope as well as Never Settle Fitness, a private, holistic fitness and wellness studio dedicated to helping people discover their passion and purpose for training and ultimately find healing in their lives. Their initial passion for fitness brought them together but their faith in God and overall purpose to bring healing to the lives of others has been the lasting foundation of their relationship. Nate and Larissa married in October of 2015 and share two, beautiful children together, Malakai (Kai) and Cecilia (CiCi) alongside their pup, Roxie. Outside of their two businesses, they enjoy spending time together outdoors in nature or snuggled up on the couch watching a movie.
The Never Settle Story
How it Started
On April 21, 1999, Larissa’s father, Pastor Don, was diagnosed with an incurable cancer of the bone marrow called Multiple Myeloma and given two weeks to live. Despite what was spoken over his life, he still lived seven years after that. Larissa grew up seeing him get chemotherapy, radiation, and stem cell transplants and how each of those treatment plans broke his body down a little more each time.
He was incredibly ill during most of those years, but that man never complained…not once. Instead, he trusted God and chose to never settle. In fact, on Easter of 2006, Don launched the “Never Settle” vision which encouraged a community of people to step out of mediocrity to pursue the purpose God had given them despite their circumstances. He spoke about providing local entrepreneurs with the opportunity to share their gifts with the world—he mentioned a coffee shop, salon, restoration store, and even a gym. He painted a picture of children playing at the park, laughing as they splashed in the creek. It was a place designed to bring people together with the church at the center of it all. We wish you all could have heard this man speak with such love, passion, conviction, and hope for the future. It was truly a beautiful thing to witness.
Sadly, 4 months after Don preached about the plans God had given him, he passed away after a seven year long battle with cancer. It’s easy to think that Don’s vision died with him, but that couldn’t be farther from the truth.
That day the gift of healing was spoken over Larissa’s life. She felt God’s anointing run all throughout her body—like a breath of fresh air despite being in the midst of tragedy. Soon after, God gave her part of her dad’s vision to carry out his legacy—She was called to open a wellness center that people would travel to from all around the world to find healing in their lives…and that’s when the Oasis of Hope was born. A 17 year long vision has finally come to fruition—a wellness center where God’s presence will be felt and healing found.
We believe everyone has a purpose but you cannot reach your greatest potential if you are unwell. Our purpose is to help you find healing so you can pursue yours and do all the amazing things God has called you to do.
This vision is bigger than us and we knew we couldn’t do this on our own. So now our new wellness center is home to several local businesses, right here in the heart of St Pete…and this is just the beginning.

Where We Are Going
We are dedicated to leaving a lasting legacy through the “Never Settle” vision. Because our purpose of that vision is focused on helping people find healing so they can pursue the purpose God has given them, we plan to strengthen and expand our current influence within the holistic, wellness community. Long term, our dream is to expand Oasis of Hope into a Wellness Detox Retreat. This concept is similiar to rehab centers for drug and alcohol abuse, but our focus would be providing a luxury stay for those suffering with chronic disease, obesity, and food addictions. By providing the necessary knowledge and resources to provoke healing in a controlled environment and maintaining results long term, we can abandon the status quo and raise the current healthcare standard. We understand the importance of natural medicine, but also realize many don’t see it as a realistic, attainable option or aren’t even aware it’s an option at all. Our desire is to not only make natural medicine the norm when it comes to choosing healthcare options, but also create a platform to make holistic treatments more affordable and accessible for everyone. With the expertise of our trusted wellness partners and the generosity of sponsors and fundraising campaigns through the Never Settle Foundation, we are committed to helping people find their higher calling through healing, making “Never Settle” a household name, and ultimately creating an impact that will leave a lasting legacy.
